March 17, 2008 Weekly Minutes
SOUTHWESTERN OREGON UMPIRES ASSOCIATION MINUTES - 3/17/08
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Sean Cheser at 7:06pm,
as President Dan Hampton was not in attendance. The following business
was conducted:
- Last week's minutes were read and accepted.
- There was more discussion on the umpire evaluations. Further discussion was postponed until next week's meeting when more members should be present.
- Commissioner Cheser showed everyone in attendance the recent postponements/cancellations of baseball and softball due to the rainy weather.
- There have been some changes to the officials' present schedule, as some may be called to the weather.
- There was some discussion on baseball and softball situations.
- Due to spring vacation next week, next week's meeting will be held at Abby's Legendary Pizza in Coos Bay, not Marshfield High School's Pirate Hall. The meeting will start at 7:00pm.
The regular meeting was then split up into the softball and baseball
groups.
