The
Southwestern Oregon Umpires Association (SWUA)
contracts to provide umpiring services for Oregon School Activities Association
(OSAA) member High School baseball and softball teams
which includes Brookings High School, Gold Beach High School, Bandon
High School, Coquille High School, Myrtle Point High School, Marshfield
High School, North Bend High School and Siuslaw* High School. In addition, SWUA provides umpiring
services for American Legion and Babe Ruth Baseball during the
summer as well as Little League Baseball and Girls Summer Softball.
The SWUA is a member association of the OSAA and the Oregon Athletic Officials Association (OAOA). Training and certification, as mandated by the National Federation of State High Schools (NFHS) and the OSAA/OAOA, is conducted for all members during our regularly scheduled weekly meetings. Each sport specific area (Baseball/Softball) contains Baseball and Softball Rule Changes, Baseball Rule Interpretations and Baseball and Softball 2009 Points of Emphasis. Certain documents, such as the Membership Roster, Meeting Minutes and Assignments, are "Members Only" documents and are password protected to safeguard personal and organization information. Members only need to log in "once" per visit to access all protected pages.
